FRP has demonstrated that it is corrosion resistant to both salt and regular water. FRP has been used to carry water for many years in pipes and also it has been used successfully to manufacture marine vessels;
FRP has been used to manufacture pressure vessels and has acquired a history of meeting high mechanical properties;
FRP is known to be lightweight compared to metals. For example, a filament wound pipe is normally about 0.06 1bs per cubic inch (1.7 kg/m3) versus 0.28 lbs per cubic inch (7.8 kg/m3) for carbon steel;2 and
FRP has much lower thermal conductivity values. This was important in transporting hot water .
The Filament Winding Potable Water FRP Pipe takes thermosetting resin as base body, take glass fibre and its products as reinforced material.The process of adding silicon sand will adopts the pheumatic control.In addition ,the high frequency vibrator will be used to densify the silicon sand-adding layer,which can large improve the compactness of the silicon sand-adding layer ,as a result,the ring stiffness of pipe will be also improved effectively and at same time,the phenomenon of dry yarn or no yarn will not exist .The usage of silicon sand-adding device and process can not only improve the quality of pipe a lot but also decrease the cost. The ZHONGYI team consists of hundreds of man-years of experienced designers, engineers, project managers and planners, coupled with 1, 000's man-years of experienced first class laminators and reinforced composite technicians.
Equipments
One notable capability of ZHONGYI, in relation to filament winding work, is computer controlled filament winding machines, of which ZHONGYI has designed and built. Some equipment is designed to be mobile and transferred to the job site for large contract requirements, to avoid transporting bulky manufactured products.
ZHONGYI also has a transportable version of the filament winding machine which can be set up on site to produce large filament wound structures, which to date include 30m diameter vessels and tanks.
ZHONGYI is a leading manufacturer of FRP duct and pipe and a major supplier of large and complex composite structures to. Using CNC filament winders, ZHONGYI produces quality and economical circular products in a standard range of Ø 15 to Ø 4000. Special shapes and sizes are also manufactured to client requirements.
For very large structures, which have transport limitations, ZHONGYI specializes in on site fabrication and installation using mobile filament winder machines and fabrication facilities.
